I am writing to you in hope that you may be able to assist me on behalf of Bear Cottage, the non-government funded children’s hospice at Manly.
Yesterday I visited the cottage to massage some of the much-deserving parents there that are caring for their terminally ill children. These parents are providing 24hr care for their little ones and never take time out for themselves. We are currently trying to organise a roster of sorts, of therapists that would be willing to donate a day, or a regular commitment to providing a service to these lovely parents at the cottage.
Can you help support these wonderful parents?

Little Treasures Baby & Children’s Market on behalf of United By Talin is in the process of setting up the HUGS program for the amazing & special parents of Bear Cottage. These parents go through so much everyday as they fight for their child’s life and try to enjoy what quality time they have left with their special child.
We are looking for volunteers who could kindly donate their time and service to our HUG program. The HUGS program will offer some special time out for these parents where they can enjoy a massage, facial, haircut, art class, cooking class, yoga class, meditation class, knitting class, singing class, dance class etc all supplied with lots of hugs.
This can be offered as a once off service or an ongoing service to the parents of Bear Cottage.
Bear Cottage is just a stone’s throw from Manly, it is a children’s hospice that was established in 2001. Bear Cottage helps families cope with the impossible – to care for a child who has a life-limiting illness. To care for a child who is unlikely to see their 18th birthday, or their ninth birthday, or sometimes even their first birthday.
